After a great hike, we stumbled upon a family of moose at dusk. The bull sat under a pine tree while the cow and calf rested in a meadow. They later rose from their afternoon siesta and went on their way as the sun set in Big Cottonwood Canyon.
Dusk in this area is entrancing, as pale pinks and blues paint a beautiful backdrop to the canyon along the backside of Deer Valley.
My parents and I experienced breathtaking views of fall foliage while hiking atop a ridge in Guardsman Pass. The aspen's yellow leaves brightened this scene facing East toward the Heber Valley.
